Rules and regulations

Stories and photos entered in the contest must have been written by the person(s) submitting them. All entries must be unpublished nonfiction dog stories with the dog as the central focus. Stories and photos must not contain offensive content. Any submissions with profanity or vulgarity will be discarded. By participating, all entrants agree to be bound by the official rules and the decisions of the judges.

Contest entries are valid if submitted between 12:01am Feb, 1 through 11:59pm Feb 14, 2006. Winners will be chosen the fourth week of June and announce no later than Feb. 16, 2006. Winners will then be contacted to get the information about the size of their dogs for the prizes and prizes will be mailed out by FunStuffForDogs.com after products arrive from supplier to them.

All stories and photos become the sole property of Doggeek.com. By submitting stories or photos, you agree that Doggeek.com can edit and publish them on the website, in newsletters and other uses. Stories may be edited for length or clarity. All efforts will be made to preserve the facts when editing. Photos may be edited for size and color, or cropped. If you are a winner, you also authorize Doggeek.com and parent company Splat Productions, LLC, its affiliates and the respective contest sponsor (FunStuffForDogs.com) to use your name, photo, and story in announcements, newsletters, press releases or other statements regarding the applicable contest for promotional purposes without compensation.

Stories must be at least 25 words and pertain to something cute your dog does or has done. Stories not relating to the subject matter or consisting of less than 25 words will be rejected.

During the voting session of the contest, there is a one (1) vote per person, per day rule.

Winners will be determined at the sole discretion of Doggeek.com, FunStuffForDogs.com, and Splat Productions, LLC. Prizes are furnished by FunStuffForDogs.com. Neither FunStuffForDogs.com, Doggeek.com nor Splat Productions, LLC assumes liability for manufacturing defects in or harm caused to humans or animals by the improper use of any items awarded as prizes. All prizes are awarded "as is" and can not be refunded or exchanged.

All state, federal and local taxes, if applicable, are the responsibility of the winner. Employees of Splat Productions, LLC, Doggeek.com, and FunStuffForDogs.com are not eligible. Void where restricted or prohibited by law. Rules and regulations may change at any time deemed by Doggeek.com.
