Dandie Dinmont Terrier
The Dandie Dinmont Terrier was developed in the 17th century in Great Britain, Its ancestors probably were the Scottish Terrier and the Skye Terrier, the latter giving it its elongated body. This active terrier with the topknot of hair was originally a hunter of rats and badgers.

Coat Type: The coat has both soft and hard hair together, which gives it an unusual crisp feeling to the touch. It requires regular grooming.

Special Interest: The Dandie Dinmont Terrier was named after a character in the novel "Guy Mannering", by Sir Walter Scott.
